Hotel Flores
Flores Boutique Hotel is more than just a place to stay — it’s a sensory experience tucked away in the historic heart of Porto. The visual identity developed for the hotel captures this world: a sanctuary where luxury lives in the details, nature is reflected in textures and materials, and mystery lingers in every corner, as if time had quietly etched itself into the space. The identity was designed to highlight the hotel’s quiet elegance while awakening a sense of curiosity — a promise that there’s always something more to be discovered.

The Challenge
The main challenge was to craft a visual identity that reflects the hotel’s dual nature: the poetic atmosphere of an old building and the refined sophistication of a contemporary boutique experience. It had to convey a sense of exclusivity and discovery without being literal, and integrate subtle references to nature — not as decoration, but as part of the guest’s journey.
The brand needed to draw the eye and the imagination from the very first impression to the finest printed detail.
To truly understand the essence of the space, we began with
on-site exploration and close dialogue with the staff — gathering insights into the rhythm of the house, the
symbolism behind each room, and the stories whispered through its architecture.
This immersion process was essential to develop a visual
system that felt genuine and connected.
A key part of the challenge was designing a set of bespoke
icons for different hotel areas — from garden paths and
private suites to common rooms and spa zones — each
carrying subtle references to natural textures, architectural elements, or poetic cues observed on site.

The Solution
The identity was built on a sensory and elegant approach,
using an organic color palette inspired by the shaded
greens of the hotel’s inner gardens and the mineral tones
of the building’s stone.
Graphic shapes echo botanical elements and hidden
patterns — like something discovered on an aged wall or glimpsed in a late-afternoon reflection. Typography
takes on a refined, almost ceremonial role, and the
overall system adapts gracefully across all brand
touchpoints — from signage to in-room amenities.
The result is a brand that invites contemplation and turns
the act of staying into an intimate and memorable experience.
